About Us
What is often termed “the South African Miracle” was not a miracle at all; rather the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, is the consequence of an intense process of struggle, negotiation, and public participation.
We the People South Africa was born to promote respect for the Constitution, human rights and democracy. We strive to animate the Constitution to help bridge the gap between its values and ideals and our lived reality.
VISION
Our vision is for the people of South Africa to know, own and protect the Constitution to realise its promise.
MISSION
We the People South Africa promote knowledge and understanding of the Constituion, its making and its impact on society.
